Paul Kwakyi

Paul Kwakyi has broad experience in management and IT. He has over twenty years experience in the Service and Information Technology industries - Telecom, Airline, Petroleum and IT - in the USA. He holds a B.Comm (Hon) and MBA degrees from Dalhousie University (Canada) and a MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Georgia(USA). He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Certified Oracle Database Administrator. He joined the Ghana Revenue Authority in 2003 and is currently an advisor to the eGov project.

Project Manager in the implementation of Government of Ghana’s first eGov applications project for the revenue agencies - GRA and the Registrar General’s Department and served on several committees for the Integration and Modernization of the GRA.

Over the last two decades there has been an increasing focus on the adoption of Information and Communication Technology by Tax administrations and Governments to enhance tax administration, particularly taxpayer services and increased tax compliance, and easing the cost of taxpayers in complying with tax provisions.The presentation will cover the trips implementation, benefits, issues and challenges.
